Our History
Cook Advertising Specialties has celebrated its 50th anniversary; it was started in Austin Texas in 196O by Ken and Mary Cook. The business was originally established in their basement with the business growing into offices located on Koenig Lane, Austin, Texas. With the growth of the business; their three daughters became active in the business as co-owners. The Cook family continued to operate the business until it was sold to Dale and Paul Conley in 2009. The business was re-located to its current location at 11740 Jollyville Rd., Suite 200, Austin, Texas in November of 2009.

Although we distribute products as our core business, in reality, we are a service business focused on addressing our customer’s needs. Our customers come to us for imprinted products to promote their business or to recognize and say thank you to their customers or employees.
At Cook Advertising Specialties, our role is to create a customer friendly environment that simplifies the purchasing and decision-making process while supplying our clients with the right, quality imprinted product in a timely manner that delivers their message cost-effectively.
Our People
Dale Conley - Owner
Dale is a retired, elementary school teacher who acquired Cook Advertising in February, 2009. Along with her husband, Paul, they have 2 grown sons and have lived in the Austin area since 1992. Dale is an avid scuba diver and sailor.
Paul Conley - Sales
Formerly a distribution center manager, importer and business broker he joined the company full-time when the business was acquired. Paul is also a scuba diver and sailor. Along with Dale they have traveled and enjoyed many dive sites in the Caribbean and Pacific.
Randy Downing - Sales
Randy joined Cook’s shortly after it was acquired by Dale. Randy, is a relatively newcomer to Texas, relocating from Louisiana in 2006. He has many years experience in distributor sales. Randy has 1 grown son. Prior to moving to Texas, he lived in both the Baton Rouge and New Orleans area. He is a devout LSU and Saint’s fan. He also enjoys Cajun Creole Cooking.
Rudy Matute - Accounting
Rudy has been with the company since 1997 and is responsible for both AR and AP. He really enjoys water skiing and when not behind a boat on skis, you can find him in the kitchen. Rudy is an accomplished gourmet cook and enjoy gardening.
